It's a quiet Sunday eve, and the events of the past 48 hours have proven exhausting. Laura is sleeping with baby on arm, and cats on lap, and I am furiously cramming for a Broker's exam which I've all but written off. No matter... our son is alive and warm and surprisingly able to fire his urine over great distances.

We have decided to build a home in Victoria Park, on the golf course. After going through countless homes under contruction, and eschewing the various models and resales available, Vernette (whose sales skills give me a complex) showed us the Sandpiper model, Elevation 1.

We were stunned. Never did we consider a two-story home, but this one had a first floor master, and a fabulous golf course view from the upper floor. Great price, too... though that will change dramatically over the next two months. The details have yet to be worked out, but we are psyched nonetheless.

This little life-changing decision came BEFORE our son made his first appearance at the Long Family compound. He's still getting used to the place, and to us. There've been some Kodak (in our case, Olympus) moments, so let's post 'em and get back to studying.
